Update on mischief at Oaks of Cobden

Charges laid, suspects arrested

WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — The Renfrew OPP Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated an occurrence of criminal mischief at the Oaks of Cobden Golf Course.

On August 4, staff called police to report the mischief consisting of various damages throughout the golf course and also damage to multiple golf carts. The damage which is significant is believed to have occurred sometime overnight on August 3. 

As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old and 17 year-old male of Whitewater Region and an 18-year-old and 17-year-old male of Bonnechere Valley Township have been charged with mischief over $5 thousand. All accused’s were released on promise to appear.
