WHITEWATER REGION – The Township of Whitewater Region is issuing temporary restrictions on non-essential water use. The Township’s water treatment plants are nearing or exceeding the maximum daily flow rate.
Due to the continuing dry conditions, the Township requests all users of the Municipal water system in Beachburg, Cobden and Haley Town Site immediately restrict water use to essential use only, and refrain from watering lawns, etc. until further notice.
The Watering By-law is currently being enforced by the Township’s Municipal By-law Enforcement Officers. Any person who contravenes this by-law is guilty of an offence and liable to the fine or penalties set out in the By-law #03-03-108.
