RENFREW —   Bonnechere Manor is hosting its third annual outdoor activity fundraiser on Saturday, June 1. This year’s event will challenge participants of all ages and athletic abilities to “Move for the Manor.”  The event will take place at the Renfrew Fairgrounds and will include a children’s obstacle course, 5 km run/walk (stroller friendly) and 10 km run. The event will also feature a 50 km bike ride from Renfrew to Arnprior and back along the Millennium/CN trail.
Fundraising Coordinator, Claire Ullrich, encourages students and staff members at local schools to enter their school’s name during registration. “In order to encourage participation from all age groups, the Renfrew Lion’s club will be donating $500 towards new physical education equipment to the school with the most participants,” Claire added in a press release earlier today.
Participants can register for any of the four Move for the Manor events online through the Running Room’s website.
Bonnechere Manor is a non-profit long-term care home owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and offers an adult day program in Cobden and Renfrew.
