OTTAWA — The 2020 Sing Out for CHEO Emerging Artist of the Year is Khloe Bertrand, who turns 17 years old on Tuesday. She won first place at the Sing Out for CHEO artist competition and this was her second year competing.

“Thank you! It was so much fun,” wrote Miss. Bertrand on Sing Out for CHEO’s Facebook post. The fundraising event was held at the Lone Star Loft in Ottawa on Saturday, February 22.

Founded and organized by Danny Sylvester, a singer and songwriter from the Ottawa Valley, this event is recognized as an official Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) Foundation fundraiser. According to their website, over the past four years the event has grown to include a silent auction, an artist competition, door prizes and raffles with gifts provided by local merchants.
