Further comment on former Dougherty house:
My husband Basil Wright and his father J.C. Wright (both deceased)
owned this property for several years in the late 1950s and early
1960s. The previous owner was Lloyd Dougherty and his father was
Robinson Dougherty who was likely the owner when the house was built.
The property was sold to Harry McBride about 1963.
I recall that the house, which was unoccupied, was built on a damp,
poorly drained area and the foundation was in poor condition and
leaning inwards on one side at that time, approximately 60 years ago.
This probably would be the main cause of the continued deterioration
and eventual collapse of the house.
