Council Welcomes New Task Force Member

Clerk Carmen Miller read that an vacancy opened up on Whitewater Region Seniors & Older Task Force, which serves an information-gathering and advocacy role to the Council regarding services to residents over the age of 55.

Moira D’Aoust will take over the position left vacant by Connie McLaughlin, from a nonprofit in Ottawa that catered to children with special needs, which she retired from to live in the Lacroix Bay area of Westmeath.

There were two applicants, the other being a potential replacement for an unspecified member.

“Thank you Moira, and welcome” Reeve Regier said, echoed by other members of the Council. The motion was carried.
