Dear Mayor Moore:

I would like to inform you that Altarist Inc. has submitted an application to become a licensed holder for cannabis production under Health Canada’s Cannabis Regulations (CR). Our application was submitted on March 29th, 2019. Our company is seeking a standard cultivation license at this time. However, in the future we may wish to apply for a license pertaining to processing and medical sales.

Altarist plans to undertake the fol- lowing activities at 1600 Greenwood Road, Pembroke, Whitewater Region, On- tario, K8A 6W3:

  • the production, germination, and cultivation of dried cannabis for commercial purposes;
  • the testing of dried cannabis for safety and quality assurance;
  • the packaging and storage of dried cannabis for commercial purposes;
  • the transport and distribution of dried cannabis for commercial purposes;
  • the sale of dried cannabis to those authorized to buy; and
  • the destruction and disposal of any waste generated in regards to the production, germination and cultivation of dried cannabis for commercial purposes.

All of these activities will be undertaken in strict accordance with the CR. It is our intent to work with you to ensure we meet your requirements. Our goal is to produce and provide products that are rigorously tested for quality and safety in a secure facility.

Altarist has adopted all of the safety and security requirements of the CR. We want to be a positive presence in the community and provide excellent employment opportunities for residents of this region.

We will also provide you with updates and with as much information to our plans before we start.

Yours truly,

Mario Staltari
Responsible Person, President and Master Grower
