WHITEWATER REGION (Cobden) — On August 15, the Renfrew County District Health Unit (RCDHU) closed Cobden Beach due to a blue-green algae bloom. RCDHU advised the public to avoid using the water for drinking, bathing or showering. They also advised not allowing children, pets or livestock to drink or swim in the water.
