WHITEWATER REGION — The Ottawa Valley Thunder girls midget house league team participated in the North Bay Ice Boltz Tournament last weekend and brought home the gold medal.
The girls played their first three scheduled games winning each with scores of 6-0, 2-1 and 3-1 respectively. They played in the semi-finals on November 9 against the Russell Coyotes, winning with a score of 3-0 putting them directly into the finals on November 10.
They won the gold medal in the finals playing against Kanata, winning the tournament in overtime with a score of 4-3.
