WHITEWATER REGION (Westmeath) — As typical for a Remembrance Day, November 11 was extremely cold with a brisk wind. The service was conducted by Rev. Anita Hollings along with Rev. James Min for prayers.

There were 14 wreaths laid at the cenotaph, including one by Joey Trimm on behalf of the niece of the Foy brothers who were killed in action in WW2. In attendance were about 150 persons, including the 2 Service Battalion, supply company from Fort Garrison and the students from Our Lady of Grace School.
